As a counsellor and therapist, I specialise in many life issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and relationship problems.
I trained at Metanoia Institute in Ealing, London, and graduated with a diploma and degree in person-centred counselling in 2005. I am BACP registered and accredited. Since starting my career, I have worked in the voluntary sector in women’s centres and general counselling centres, plus have seen many EAP- and NHS-referred clients, as well as having a small private practice. I also have a post-grad diploma in adolescent counselling, so I am able to see young people under 18.
My approach means that I believe the counselling relationship is of utmost importance and that I am not the expert when it comes to your life, so, as a facilitator, I provide a warm, confidential, non-judgmental environment, where you will feel safe to explore what is concerning you at your own pace, enabling you to move forward in your life.
I offer one-to-one weekly sessions, both short term and long term, from Brentford, Middlesex (near South Ealing and Northfield tube stations), and also by Zoom and telephone. Each lasts for 50 minutes and I charge £50 per session.
If you would like to arrange a meeting, please email me at michelemestrum@gmail.com or call me on 07765 095862 and leave a message. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
When you contact me via email or phone, you share personal data (like your name, phone number, or email address). I only use this information to respond to your enquiry and manage your therapy. I do not share your data with third parties. If you have any concerns about how your data is handled, please contact me directly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). [1]
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework. If you have a complaint about our clinical work together that we cannot resolve directly, you can raise a formal complaint through the BACP website.
